Abstract:
Planning and development of regional programs for territorial development assumes consideration of zones with different natural conditions and the nature of their economic use. Their allocation can be carried out using natural-anthropogenic differentiation of the region. The purpose of the presented research is to identify and analyze modern natural-anthropogenic landscapes and territorial natural-anthropogenic complexes of the Rostov region. An important methodological task was to combine the natural and administrative boundaries of the region, in order to use the extensive database of state statistical reporting, presented mainly by administrative-territorial entities. The assignment of natural conditions to the administrative region was based on the prevailing natural landscape. The natural-anthropogenic landscapes of the region, depending on the scale, location and type of nature management, can be divided into industrial, agricultural and agricultural, which, in turn, are divided into smaller taxonomic units: a large industrial city, medium-sized industrial cities, mining towns, rural suburban areas. The authors propose and substantiate the concept of a territorial natural-anthropogenic complex, which is a territory with a certain combination of natural conditions and interrelated types of economic activity. As a result of the study, seven territorial natural-anthropogenic complexes were identified in the Rostov region, which are characterized by relatively homogeneous natural conditions, the type of nature management, and their socio-economic and environmental indicators.
