Abstract:
Literature material has been correlated on methods of determining ecologically particularly dangerous polychlorinated compounds (dioxins, furans and biphenyls) and chlorine-containing pesticides and phenols in the environment, viz. in air, natural waters, soil, sludges and various tissues of biological organisms (including man). All stages of the analysis are reviewed, i.e. selection and storage of samples, methods of extraction and derivatisation, means of purification of organic extracts, gas chromatographic and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry methods of separating and estimating individual isomers and compounds and their detection limits. The bibliography contains 164 references.
