Abstract:
Polycondensation and polyaddition reactions using silylated monomers are reviewed. Means of obtaining silylated nucleophilic monomers and the influence of silylation on the reactivity of nucleophiles containing amine, hydroxyl and thiol groups have been analysed. It has been shown that in many cases the use of silylated monomers enables polycondensation processes to be carried out under mild conditions to give high molecular systems.
