Abstract: The areas of application of gas chromatography--mass spectrometry in rocket-and-space industry are considered. The primary attention is devoted to the development of physicochemical grounds of the use of various versions of GC/MS analysis to solve topical problems of this industry. Various methods for investigation of the composition of rocket fuels, surfaces of structural materials and environmental entities affected by rocket-and-space activity are compared. The application of GC/MS analysis for the development and evaluation of processes for decontaminations of equipment, industrial wastes and soils from rocket fuel components is substantiated.
