Abstract:
The present state of the problem of the steric structuring of polyolefins by chemical cross-linking agents (organic peroxides, azo-compounds, and organo-silanes) is examined. The structure formation mechanisms, the process conditions, the requirements which must be met by cross-linking agents, the factors determining the properties of cross-linked polymers, as well as the prospects for the development of the method are discussed.
