Abstract:
The results of studies of compounds of variable composition based on the high-melting metals of the IVa and Va subgroups (oxides, nitrides, carbides, oxide carbides, oxide nitrides, carbide nitrides) have been systematically examined. Problems of atomic ordering in these compounds are discussed, including the development of an inhomogeneous structure and the control of the vacancy concentration while retaining the original chemical composition and type of crystal structure at high pressures and temperatures. The thermodynamics of the formation of structural vacancies in compounds of variable composition are discussed. The bibliography includes 123 references.
