Abstract: The problems of the photochemistry of the dicyclopentadienyl derivatives of Group VIII metals are considered. Examples of the use of the photochemical reactions of metallocenes for the preparation of light-sensitive materials, inhibitors of the photo-ageing of polymers, catalysts of the photodecomposition of polymers, etc. are presented.
