Characteristic Features of the Polymerisation of Acetylene and Its Derivatives

Abstract: The requirements which must be met by polymers with a conjugation system, used as organic semiconductors, are analysed. The characteristic features of ionic, radical and stereospecific polymerisation of acetylene and its derivatives are considered and the mechanisms of the destruction of the active centres in the ionic polymerisation as well as the methods of preparation of high-molecular-weight polymers are discussed.
