Abstract: Methods are discussed for obtaining networks in heat-resistant polymers, including cross-linking at terminal groups, the use of reactive oligomers together with heat-resistant polymers capable of interacting with them, polycyclotrimerisation, etc. The influence of the chemical structure of the network and the frequency of branch points has been traced on the dynamic mechanical properties of the polymers and also on the stress relaxation and creep under static conditions. Network parameters and strength properties are compared, and methods of controlling the mechanical properties of network systems possessing enhanced heat-resistance are discussed.
