Preparation and Reactions of Chloro-derivatives of Nitriles

Abstract: Published information on the synthesis and reactivity of chloro-derivatives of nitriles is summarised, and methods are examined for the preparation of such derivatives of acetonitrile, acrylonitrile, methacrylonitrile, crotononitrile, and benzonitrile. Research on the mechanism of reactions undergone by the derivatives is reported. A list of 113 references is included.
