Abstract: Methods of making non-solvated lithium, sodium, and potassium salts of hydroperoxides in hydrocarbon media are considered. Results on the kinetics and mechanism of thermal decomposition of alkali organic peroxides and the reactions of these compounds with alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, esters, and nitriles are discussed. The role of complex formation by the alkali salts of hydroperoxides with donors of protons and Lewis bases is considered. Methods of making organic and organoelemental peroxides based on salts of the hydroperoxides are discussed. 167 references.
