Abstract: A specific set of properties distinguishes coordination polymers with inorganic main chains. The review deals with modern ideas about the structures of these polymers, the possible ways of synthesising them, and a survey of the available data on the properties of metal-containing polymers such as polyphosphinates, polyarsinates, etc.
