Synthesis, structures and reactivity of polyhalo[60]fullerenes

Abstract: Methods for the synthesis of polyfluoro(chloro, bromo) derivatives of C₆₀ fullerene and their structures are described. The reactivity of these compounds is demonstrated considering redox reactions, nucleophilic substitution, radical addition, cycloaddition and electrophilic arylation.
