Abstract:
Existing methods for chemical dosimetry of pulsed electronic radiation are reviewed. Sources of this type of radiation are described, and the special problems arising in the dosimetry of high dose rates (up to 1014 rad s–1) are discussed. The effect of dose rate on the yield of radiolysis products is discussed in detail for a number of systems used in dosimetry (aqueous solutions, organic liquids, polymers, gases, etc.). Dosimetric systems particularly suitable for different ranges of dose rate are listed. 112 references.
