Abstract: Problems of the use of ionic migration for the separation of stable isotopes under laboratory conditions and in large-scale plant are considered. The phenomenological theory of the process, the apparatus, the mode of operation, experimental conditions, and results obtained for twenty elements are discussed in detail. Results obtained by countercurrent and zone electrical migration for the structure of molten salts and the mechanism of the migration of ions in an electric field are examined.
