P. Buckus

Vilnius State Pedagogical Institute

Abstract: This review deals with various reactions involving the cleavage and certain interesting rearrangements of trityl compounds and the use of trityl protecting groups in the synthesis and reactions of glycerides, carbohydrates, nucleosides, nucleotides, and peptides. The lability of the bond between the trityl group and oxygen, sulphur, nitrogen, carbon, and other atoms has been demonstrated.
