Abstract: Experimental methods and theoretical concepts of colloid chemistry regarding their possible use in nanochemistry and nanotechnology are considered. The main types of disperse systems which can be regarded as nanosystems are distinguished. Some methods for the preparation of colloidal nanosystems are described. Conditions for extrapolation of phenomenological laws of colloid chemistry to nanosize objects are considered. Examples of self-organised colloidal structures are given. The bibliography includes 205 references.
