Abstract:
Methods for the synthesis of functional polymeric suspensions with narrow particle size distribution are analysed. Attention is concentrated on the conditions of the preparation of polymeric microspheres with aldehyde, carboxyl, epoxy, or amino groups on the surface, which possess a set of properties enabling their use for biochemical studies. Methods of modification of functional groups of the polymeric suspensions that make it possible to accomplish covalent binding of the surface groups to bioligands are considered.
