Abstract:
This review examines the synthesis and properties of phosphorus–boron-containing compounds containing the fragments P=B, B–C–B, P–N–B, P–O–B, P–C–C–B, P–C=C–B, P=C–O–B, P–C–O–B, P–C≡C–B, and P–(C)n–B, and also phosphorus-containing borohydrides, carboranes, and coordination compounds containing phosphorus- and boron-containing ligands. The interaction of heteroatomic functional groups has received special attention. Wherever possible the acquisition of new properties by the compounds as a result of these interactions has been noted. The bibliography contains 139 references.
