The Dynamics of a Rigid Body Colliding with a Rigid Surface

Abstract: Basic investigation techniques, algorithms, and results are presented for nonlinear oscillations and stability of steady rotations and periodic motions of a rigid body, colliding with a rigid surface, in a uniform gravity field.
