Abstract: The present comments on the recent paper by M. C. Ciocci, B.Malengier, B. Langerock, and B. Grimonprez "Towards a Prototype of a Spherical Tippe Top" (Journal of Applied Mathematics, 2012) [1] discuss theoretical results of the paper in the context of previous publications, which are apparently unknown to the above-mentioned authors.
