Evolution of fundamental constants

V. S. Troitskii

Abstract: A comparison of the laboratory measurements of the ratio of the frequency of the hyperfine splitting of cesium to the frequency of a vibrational–rotational transition in methane with astrophysical measurements of the ratio of the frequency of the hyperfine splitting of hydrogen to the frequency of transitions to ionized oxygen shows that the rates of evolution of some of the fundamental constants are in conflict with the estimates of these rates from nuclear decay.
