Four-channel integrated-optics coupler and frequency-channel multiplexer

Abstract: A simple method was developed for the fabrication of strip waveguides in glass with losses below 1 dB/cm. A technique for the determination of the parameters of these waveguides was also developed. An integrated-optics structure was constructed from strip waveguides, which could be used in multimodefiber communication lines.
