Substantial improvement in selective properties of a stimulated Brillouin scattering mirror resulting from use of wide-band pumping

Abstract: It is shown theoretically that selective properties of a stimulated Brillouin scattering mirror improve considerably if use is made of wide-band pumping whose coherence length exceeds the interaction length in the active medium.
