Theory of phase locking in transient stimulated scattering

Abstract: Methods of the mode theory are applied to the following aspects of transient stimulated scattering: interpretation of the critical intensity, condition for interference suppression of stimulated scattering, and determination of the threshold for a broad-band-pumped stimulated scattering oscillator.
