Possibility of increasing the brightness of optical radiation emitted from a Raman laser pumped by wide-band radiation

Abstract: It is shown that efficient conversion of wide-band pump radiation in a Raman laser cannot be combined with a reduction of the angular divergence below that of the pump radiation.
