Formation of a short giant radiation pulse in a YAG:Nd³⁺ crystal laser with an unstable resonator

Abstract: A YAG:Nd³⁺ crystal with a short unstable resonator was designed and investigated. A bleachable dye used as a Q switch made it possible to generate ultrashort giant radiation pulses.
