Laser device for determination of the velocity of surfaces

Abstract: A study is made of the possibility of using laser Doppler anemometry methods for the determination of the velocity of surfaces. A description is given of a compensation system in a coherent optical measuring device with spectral and spatial filtering of the optical signal. This system is used as the basis of a meter for measuring the velocity of objects produced by hot rolling.
