Generation of coherent radiation by parametric excitation of molecular vibrations

Abstract: It is shown that parametric excitation of molecular vibrations may be used for conversion of the frequency of coherent radiation at moderate (up to 1 kW/cm²) intensities of the exciting laser radiation.
