Abstract:
A method is proposed which makes it possible to reduce the calculation of energy parameters of a manylevel chemical HF laser to an equivalent two-level system. This simplifies greatly the fairly timeconsuming procedure of the design of an HF laser with a spherical telescopic resonator. Calculations carried out in the geometric-optics approximation for a diffusion-type HF laser with cylindrical and spherical mirrors confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method, which reduces the computer time by a factor 5–10.
