Use of a phase transparency in reconstruction of the phase structure of a field

Abstract: A method for reconstruction of a phase-modulated optical field was developed and tested experimentally. The method is based on a special structuring of the data on the phase pattern of the recorded field. The phase data are recorded after visualization by the Zernike method in a phase-sensitive material. The structure of the field is reconstructed by illumination of the resultant transparency with a quasimonochromatic spatially coherent plane wave.
