Influence of excess of the pumping rate above the threshold on the losses in open resonators with tilted mirrors

Abstract: An analysis is made of the influence of a redistribution of the gain in the active medium of a laser during stimulated emission on the resonator losses. A determination is reported of the range of the excess above the pumping rate in which the resonator losses no longer occur.
