Investigation of the properties of an unstable resonator with a dihedral corner reflector in a gasdynamic laser

Abstract: Numerical methods were used in a study of the structure of fields and of the efficiency of an unstable resonator with a dihedral corner-cube mirror reflector in a gasdynamic laser. A resonator of this kind is known to be capable of ensuring a much more uniform distribution of the laser radiation field in the downstream direction than a telescopic resonator and this can be achieved at the expense of a slight reduction in the efficiency.
