Abstract:
Waveguide lasers utilizing a mixture of CO2 isotopes were investigated. Measurements were made of the gain for various lines of the isotopes 12C16O2, 13C16O2, and 12C18O2 mixed with He. An experimental study was made of the dependence of the gain for the line of a specific CO2 isotope on its concentration in a binary mixture. Various designs of a waveguide laser utilizing an isotope mixture were developed and some advantages and disadvantages were analyzed.
