Abstract:
A report is given of the characteristics of a pulse-periodic waveguide CO2 laser excited by a longitudinal capacitor discharge. The dependences of the repetition frequency of the output pulses on the cooling of the active medium and on the material of the discharge tube are discussed, together with the dependences of the average output power on the rate of flow of the mixture. The design of a high-power multibeam pulse-periodic waveguide CO2 laser is discussed.
