Single-mode laser with an unstable ring resonator

Abstract: An experimental investigation was made of the characteristics of the radiation emitted by a laser with an unstable ring resonator containing an angular selector. The conditions were found under which such a laser could be used as a single-mode master oscillator in compact-aperture lasers.
