Abstract:
Polymer laser elements were made of organic dyes, thus extending greatly the range of potential uses of dye lasers. Dye-activated oligourethanacrylates were polymerized by the radical method. The main photophysical properties and technological design parameters are given. The polymer elements are characterized by high optical and photochemical stability, and are capable of operating stably without thermal distortions at temperatures from –60 to +60 °C at pulse repetition frequencies up to 100 Hz. The lasing and modulation properties of polymer elements are not inferior to the corresponding properties of analogous liquid dye elements.
