Influence of the scattering-particle size on the signal in laser anemometers with a probe interference field

Abstract: An analysis is made of the influence of the scattering-particle size on the spatial and temporal structure of the optical signal in a laser anemometer with a probe interference field. Estimates are obtained of the power spectrum and of the average signal frequency for a Poisson flow of finite scattering particles.
