Abstract:
An investigation was made of the kinetics of absorption changes in poly-N-vinylcarbazole:trinitrofluorenone (PVC:TNF) by the method of selective picosecond spectroscopy at the wavelength of 570 nm. The kinetics of the induced absorption was used to calculate the relaxation time of the excited state (340 psec for PVC and 5.5 nsec for TNF); two components with relaxation times of 50±15 psec and 3 nsec were observed in the kinetics. An increase in the TNF concentration increased the contribution of the fast component to the overall relaxation kinetics.
