Gas-dynamic nitrous oxide laser

Abstract: Pulsed coherent emission was obtained from N₂O molecules in a N₂O + He + N₂ supersonic heated mixture emerging from a planar nozzle in a shock tube. The power and duration of the output pulses were a function of the concentration of N₂O, temperature, and pressure.
