Abstract:
A two-level model is used in a theoretical analysis of wavefront reversal in a degenerate four-wave interaction in dye solutions. The results are valid for an arbitrary profile bearing in mind the mirror symmetry of the absorption and luminescence bands. The influence of the spectral characteristics of the dye and of the parameters of the pump radiation on the energy efficiency of wavefront reversal is discussed. In particular, an asymmetric dependence of the reflection coefficient on the frequency detuning of the degenerate four-wave interaction is indicated.
