Abstract:
The dynamics of oscillation of a two-frequency gas laser was investigated theoretically and experimentally under radiation intensity self-stabilisation conditions. The investigation was carried out in the specific case of a helium–neon laser with a linear phase-anisotropic cavity (2S2–2P4 transition in Ne, wavelength λ = 1.15 μm). The feasibility of effective control of the spectrum of technical fluctuations of the output power by an external magnetic field, and also by detuning and a change in the cavity anisotropy, was demonstrated. A method was developed for simultaneous stabilisation of the intensity and frequency of the laser radiation.
