Abstract:
An analysis is given of the frequency locking, by an external monochromatic signal, of a multimode traveling wave laser with a homogeneously broadened luminescence line. A derivation is given of the range of frequencies in which such a laser acts as a stable amplifier of the external signal. An analysis is made of the dependence of the frequency-locking band on some parameters of the laser resonator, the pumping level, and the external signal.
