Abstract:
A method is proposed for the determination of three internal parameters (small-signal gain, saturation intensity, and loss factor) of a laser consisting of two independently pumped sections located on the optic axis of an asymmetric resonator with fixed values of the mirror parameters and fixed distances between them. These internal parameters are determined from three values of the output power of the laser measured for three possible variants of connection of the sections. By way of illustration, the method is applied to a two-section tubular cw CO2 laser.
