Use of a feedback circuit for the improvement of the characteristics of a solid-state ring laser

Abstract: A theoretical investigation is made of weakening of the competition between opposite waves in a solid-state ring laser by the use of a feedback circuit creating additional intracavity losses dependent on the difference between the intensities of the opposite (counterpropagating) waves.
