Picosecond relaxation of energy in a light-gathering assembly of active and inactive reaction centers

Abstract: It was found that the kinetics of deactivation of excitations in a photosynthetic light-gathering antenna does not change (in the first approximation) when traps (reaction centers) are converted from the active to the inactive state. This conclusion is deduced using absorption spectroscopic methods with picosecond optical parametric oscillators as light sources.
