Stimulated Brillouin scattering in a perturbed single-mode fiber waveguide

Abstract: A theoretical analysis is made of the amplification of the Stokes component of stimulated Brillouin scattering in a single-mode fiber waveguide in the presence of external transient perturbations of the waveguide.
