Theoretical investigation of the characteristics of an XeO laser pumped by radiation from an open discharge

Abstract: The results are given of calculations of the energy characteristics of an XeO laser utilizing an N₂O–Xe mixture pumped by radiation from an open discharge occurring in the mixture. The optimal pressure of N₂O, corresponding to the maximum output energy of the laser, is found.
