Abstract:
A study was made of a pulsed solid-state laser with an intracavity adaptive system for control of the profile of the surface of an exit mirror. Automatic control of the mode composition of the output radiation was achieved experimentally. Adaptive intracavity correction of the tilts, defocusing, and astigmatism of the wavefront made it possible to stabilize the angular distribution of the output radiation and to increase the total power of the fundamental mode on increase in the intensity on the beam axis.
