Abstract:
An investigation was made of the time characteristics of radiation from laser resonators with a copper vapor active element. The experiments were performed using a plane–plane resonator and a plane–plane resonator with a lens. Tube operation was studied in the steady-state regime for different pump powers. It was shown that, under the conditions of the experiments and for UL-102 active elements with an IP-18 power supply unit, the λ1 = 510.6-nm green line lasing terminated 18 ns after the maximum of the superradiance pulse, while the λ2 = 578.2-nm yellow line terminated after 30 ns. The start of lasing of the green and yellow lines was separated by an approximately the same time interval (14–18 ns).
